Where We Meet
The Club meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month with the exception of January, July and December at the Catisfield Memorial Hall, 52 Catisfield Lane, Fareham, PO15 5NS. The Hall is fully accessible, with very good parking acoustics, comfortable seating and an excellent background screen.
What We Do
We have at least 10 events a year, including regular talks, an annual garden auction and a summer visit.
Our talks are usually on gardening and garden related subjects but sometimes we have other talks of interest to our members. Admission is free for members (£3 for visitors) which includes tea/coffee and biscuits/cakes. An informative newsletter is produced 10 times a year and provided free of charge to members.
Members also benefit from a 10% discount (on production of membership card) at both St Margaret's Nursery and Parkers who have branches in Highlands Road and Stubbington, access to the RHS information data base and entrance to our annual garden auction. At the end of each year we have a fabulous free buffet and quiz.
Once a year we visit a place of interest to our members, usually at a significant discount over the public admission price and including extras such as a private tour, a talk from the gardener or afternoon tea.
Finally, we manage a Facebook Page which is regularly updated with gardening news, ideas and information about local garden events.
